Jay Serano began his career as a club DJ in 2006, quickly establishing himself in the vibrant Dutch electronic music scene. In his early years, he spent much of his time performing at all the major clubs across the Netherlands and extending into Belgium while representing the respected SoulSessions agency. These gigs in legendary venues helped him hone his skills and gain invaluable experience reading diverse crowds.

His breakthrough moment came in 2007 when he released a track on the esteemed Chicago house music label FarrisWheel Recordings. This release opened doors internationally and directly led to a US tour in 2008, taking him through key cities like Chicago and Los Angeles, where he connected with the American house scene and expanded his global network.

The momentum continued when one of his new tracks was featured on the iconic Blue Marlin Ibiza 2009 compilation mix. A prestigious inclusion that catapulted his profile in the Balearic scene. This exposure sparked a wave of bookings across Ibiza and mainland Spain, ultimately inspiring him to relocate to Barcelona in 2011.

In Barcelona, Jay immersed himself in the city's legendary club culture. He rapidly became a regular at top venues like CDLC, Eclipse (inside the W Hotel), and The Coconutclub, while also gracing the stage at the legendary OFF Sónar Festival parties. A major milestone was becoming a resident host for his own room at the world-famous Elrow parties in Barcelona, where his versatile sets perfectly complemented the brand's playful, high-energy vibe.

Building on this success, Jay took his entrepreneurial spirit further by opening his own underground club in 2016: Mothership. Together with friends he transformed a large warehouse into a truly multifunctional creative hub, complete with a professional music studio, a fully equipped kitchen and bar, and a spacious dancefloor. Mothership quickly earned a reputation as a go-to spot for authentic underground events and memorable parties, becoming a beloved fixture in Barcelona's underground club scene.

The club thrived for several years, delivering countless unforgettable nights until the COVID-19 pandemic forced its closure. Jay then returned to the Netherlands, where he continues to thrive today.

With two decades of experience, Jay has performed at a wide range of venues—including nightclubs, beach clubs, luxury hotels, restaurants, festivals, corporate events, private parties, and weddings—across cities such as Chicago, Los Angeles, Barcelona, Ibiza, Cannes, Paris, Bangkok, Antwerp, and many throughout Germany and the Netherlands. In recent years, he has focused on curating music programming and delivering tailored DJ performances for restaurants, (beach) clubs, and event venues, while staying active with corporate gigs, weddings, private celebrations, and the club circuit.

He remains deeply connected to production and the scene by releasing his own club-oriented music, hosting events at Boomerang Beachclub, and recently completing a small club tour in Aruba.

With a personal approach, unwavering professionalism, and a genuine passion for music, Jay consistently delivers an unforgettable musical experience for every event and audience.
